brain

be given a handbook to guide you when labour begins.
Post-natal
care is very important in Chinese philosophy. You’ve expended a lot of energy
giving birth and acupuncture is ideal in helping you recover.
The objective is to prevent illness developing or any other condition you might
be experiencing worsening after having your precious baby. Post-natal care can
begin 3 days after giving birth to boost your energy and rebuild the body’s
resources such as Qi and blood that is lost during pregnancy and childbirth. A
technique ‘mother warming’ involves a once-off clinic treatment using moxa to
warm the abdominal area & lower back which can then be further applied at home.
Scar bridging
is a very effective treatment method for women who have undergone a
caesarean-section with the resulting prominent scar tissue/adhesion left behind.
Scar bridging promotes proper healing of the injured area providing circulation
and releasing the blocked energy from the incision.
Scar bridging is not just for aesthetics. The tissue build-up from the cut, can
cause stretching or pulling from the scar tissue affecting their hip flexors or
psoas muscles which can reflect pain in the lower back. It can also be
responsible for other problems with lower digestion such as IBS or elimination
difficulties. Scars which are jagged, lumpy, knotted, red or tight scars often
soften and change colour to nearer normal, while lumps, knots and stretched
areas relax and in some cases, can disappear. Local sensitivity diminishes as
well as pain and pulling from internal adhesions.
Treatment can begin as soon as post-operative healing has taken place with quite
dramatic results. Even if you have scars are 1-2 years old, or older, just
expect a few more treatment sessions than a fresh one.
